The Chilcas range includes a varietal and a reserve line, as well as the premium
line, Chilcas One.
Chilcas is produced exclusively from grapes grown in the Las
Chilcas estate vineyard and winery located in a sub region of San Rafael in the Maule
Valley.
These emblematic Chilcas wines originate in the
shadow of the
Descabezado Volcano where the Las Chilcas
winery is located. Endowed with this great natural beauty, the 988 acre Las
Chilcas winery is the central headquarters for VIA Wine Group, and includes the
main office, cellar and bottling plant.
The Chilcas range is the icon brand of VIA Wine
Group, which produce wines that represent the very best expression of terroir
from the land that produces the grapes.
The Chilcas varietal range feature 100% single
varieties of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. These
are fruity, aromatic and expressive wines that are full of personality.
Sauvignon Blanc
100% Sauvignon Blanc.
A fresh, clean Sauvignon Blanc bursting with tropical fruit, green apple and
citrus flavors. A well balanced medium bodied wine with a crisp and refreshing finish that tingles on the palate.
Ready to enjoy now. Perfect as an
aperitif, or with fresh green salads, seafood, or white meat dishes, and
white sauce pastas.
Chardonnay
100% Chardonnay.
This crisp vibrant white wine shows tropical fruit flavors of mango, pear, and peach,
followed by a smooth, creamy finish. Perfect as an aperitif. A perfect partner
with most seafood or light pasta dishes.
Merlot
100% Merlot.
This smooth red wine has colors of dark blackberry and glints of ruby red. Blackberries,
plum and licorice flavors with hints of mint and spice notes. Serve with
beef, pork (especially grilled chops or pork tenderloin) and medium bodied
cheeses.
Cabernet Sauvignon
100% Cabernet Sauvignon.
An elegant, deep purple shaded wine that fills your glass with red fruit and
cassis aromas. Flavors of soft red fruit and blackberry jam laced with toasty
vanilla notes, and a hint of spice. A very well balanced, smooth Cabernet with
a fresh, satisfying finish. Enjoy with beef, lasagna, lamb, or for a change of
pace, serve it for dessert with dark chocolate.
